Day 3

The Paris Adventure Begins...as does my life with a Murse!

So Its now day three of my travels in Paris and I am having the time of my life here with Bethany and Gina!

Dayyyy One (in the mulan movie voice)! The girls and I walked the city and became familiar with our surroundings. We started out at a café right down the street to get lunch since we hadn't eatin since the night before and were running on no sleep for roughly 29 hours, ROUGH! Once we got our stomachs satisfied we walked around the city and began to map out everything that was to come in the following days. We basically wore our feet out by walking everywhere, but that is what made the adventure fun! We went to the Centre Pompeduo, Saw the façade of Notre Dame, and did a lil shopping. Lastly we took a boat tour around the Seine River to see the sights and get a lil better look at the city without wearing ourselves anymore than what had already happened! End result of this glorious first day in Paris, me passing out in my bed face down, on top of my sheets with the bed still made, and my clothes on. I ended up not waking up till 5am to change and actually "get ready for bed" and then sleep for another 4 hours..... oh yeah, 13 hours of sleep, GRREAT SUCCESS!! (guess i needed it)

Annnnnd 13 hours of sleep later I am refreshed and ready to sight see again! Walkinggg again! Yay, I love walking my ass ALL over Paris (haha no its really not that bad)! First stop, Pierre Herme, the best macaroon shop IN THE WORLD! Well, this was supposed to be our first stop anyway, the girls got sidetracked and we went shopping for a few hours. After the eventful few hours of shopping we made it to PH, AND ate our macaroons...every...last...bite...YUM! After our afternoon snack the girls and I continued to shop and mozy our way to the Hotel to drop our loot and take the metro back. Oh the metro was an experience for the ladies, whom have never been on the train before! The train took us to the Louvre for free friday student night! After a few hours at the Louvre fallin for Aphrodite, makin eyes with Mona (no eyebrows are creepy), and posing in front of the Sphinx, we left after dark and saw the Louvre at its best, in the light at night. Time to crash, after a cocktail or two and a bottle of wine! LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Day three! I BOUGHT A MURSE!!! HAHAHAHA....a murse, a man bag, a friggin male-purse! but its ok i rock it and i look good...or atleast slightly more European hahah! Reasoning for this purchase: I needed a small bag to carry things in while at the same time trying to not look so touristy, and it seems to be working so far! After the murse adventure we shopped more...and more...and more! Yes i know im traveling with women, oh well. Its what i like to call a growing experience. ;) after shopping we traveled down the famous Champs Elysees to the Place De La Concorde and the Arc De Triomphe, B..E..A..UTIFUL! Then to the Eiffel, where we saw the sun set and the Eiffel light up!

I love this city! Oh...and the women, oh the women are GORGEOUS! I am in awe of the number of hotties here! hahahaha had to say it.

Tomorrow is the tour of Notre Dame and going to the top of the Eiffel!

Till then. PEACE!!

Oh what a day or night or....morning?

Hokay so!

Security = frisking, wanding, and a close encounter with a TSA Official! LOVE IT riiiiight, stupid knee brace! 20 min later and we can finally go to our gate!

Flights = empty seat next to me both times, friggin SAWEET! Oh, and NO sleep hahaha!

Customs and Cabbie = crazy airport and the cab ride of a lifetime!

All in all this is getting off to avery eventful start! I got cavity searched in Minneapolis, got a cocktail and a Philly cheesesteak in Philly, and almost had my face implanted on the front seat head rest of the cab in Paris haha! Think of the cab ride like a NYC cab ride except in a language you are not fluent in and 50 Euros later plus a minor brown stain in your trousers, you are at your destination. Safe, well, alive and sound!

So now I am in my hotel (pictures to come later) and am about to experience Paris!

Peace out!

Preparation to the Destination

Ok! So first off, thanks to all those who will be following me on my trip!

For those of you who do not know, I will be living and studying in Rome as well as traveling Europe throughout the fall semester. Specifically, I will be studying Interior Design and taking a Photography course as well.

I will be using this blog to post all of my interesting travel experiences, pictures included, as well as some pictures of my projects because I know some will have specific interest in them. I will post as often as possible, but please understand that I will be busy as classes do come first and internet may be limited in some places.

My journey begins three weeks from today, let the preparation and the fun begin. Wish me luck, and keep me in your prayers! Thanks!
